Extracting from the study, conducted by J.D. Power and Associates, which surveyed 60,927 buyers of newly-built single-family homes, Del Webb ranks highest in customer satisfaction among the largest active adult community home builders.
Although the study pre-dated homes in Del Webb’s Hill Country Retreat in San Antonio, TX., it stated that those Del Webb homes being built by Pulte Homes, receives particularly high ratings in those areas that are considered most important to retirees. Pulte Homes is the exclusive builder of the Del Webb’s Hill Country Retreat community. Early indications are that it will follow suit and will rank ahead of the competition as the Alamo Ranch retirement community matures.
Still in its early stages, the layout of Hill Country Retreat has taken shape. Already open for the original owners is a community pool and playscape, along with tennis and basketball courts, and the crown jewel of amenities, a mammoth 28,000 square foot Lifestyle Center, that includes a Fitness and Wellness Center, an aerobics studio and jogging track, an up-to-date library, a spacious ballroom, a billiard room, indoor swimming, and a host of conference type rooms for the use of all retired homeowners at Hill Country Retreat.
If socializing with other residents is on your agenda, Del Webb’s Hill Country Retreat has a myriad of craft clubs, pot luck dinners and trips to surrounding towns, amongst a host of other resident friendly activities to keep you busy.
Del Webb’s Hill Country Retreat by Pulte Homes, just minutes to Seaworld and the Hyatt Hill Country Resort, with easy highway access to downtown San Antonio, is a must see if you are contemplating retirement in San Antonio. Soon to be added to the Alamo Ranch location are a new high school and at least two major hospitals. The current price scale at Hill Country Retreat starts under $150,000 with floor plans ranging in size from a compact 1247 square feet, on up to over 2700 square feet.
